In need of a huge favor

Hi everyone, I hope this doesn’t come across as too direct, but I am in need of a favor. I am trying to raise money for a close family member who’s in dire need, and am looking for design work to help do so. All monies made will go directly to them, and I am willing to go an extra mile for you if you participate. This is not something I have ever asked before (and is extremely hard for me to ask), so I am asking here as a last resort. Hello everyone! Boy, it has been a busy couple of months for me as I have just finished wrapping up some pretty amazing projects. I just completed brands (and more!) for everything from a Wedding and Event Planning company to (of course) some amazing photographers to a cosmetic dentist to a search engine company. Whew! All were super fun and what amazing people to work with. Because of the multiple projects wrapping up in a row, this allowed a bit of space on my waiting list to become available.

I also decided to do this because big changes are coming to the pricing structure. (And good ones, nothing over the top!) Hello everyone and Happy New Year! I am looking forward to all that 2010 has to offer. Some exciting things on the horizon that I cannot wait to share!

In recent months, I have been blessed with more work than usual and many inquiries which means a waiting list that’s running out of space. Because of this, I am looking for a team member to join in the fun!

Requirements
:: Strong knowledge of branding, identity and print design
:: Strong knowledge in design processes
:: Must have knowledge of typography
:: Advanced graphic design skills with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator CS or higher
:: Strong attention to detail
:: Knowledge of composition and color and how they work together is essential
:: Mac/PC
:: Must have graphic design experience!

I prefer a US based designer (for time zone purposes) and would LOVE (although not necessary) if they were in the Houston metro area.

Jodi is in the hospital

This is Holly Curtis typing on the Chocolate Cactus Blog for Jodi. I wanted to let all of her clients know that she has been in the hospital for the past several days. She has been very sick and wanted me to let her clients know she was in the hospital unable to check her work email. She is hoping to be home sometime over the weekend and will be trying to get back on email on Monday. She profusely apologizes for the inconvenience and will be answering all emails just as soon as she can get out of the hospital and go through emails. She could definitely use all thoughts and prayers you could send her way!

Just a little update to let everyone know that my email/server/disk space issues have been resolved. I am thrilled beyond belief! I had a little over 300 emails in my inbox that came in during the six days of downtime that I began responding to yesterday, and am working on getting that task completed. Thanks to all of you for bearing with me during this fiasco!

I also wanted to say that I will be blogging more – seems I have had little time to as of late. I have several projects on the front burners that have kept me busy, but a few are wrapping up as we speak which means I will have a bit more time to dedicate to blogging. I will be posting promos, sales and branding/projects, so keep an eye out!

Lastly, only 91 days, 22 hours and 19 minutes until Christmas (but who’s counting?)! Hard to believe it’s already around the corner. Becasue of this, I wanted to let you now in advance what my holiday schedule will be. Spending time with my family is very important to me, especially during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. (Besides that, the off-time gives a boost to my mojo!). I will be off during the following dates, and will not have access to emails during this time:

November 23-27
December 21-January 4

Just a quick note to let you all know that the email issue has been resolved. Seems that instead of coming off the server as they were supposed to, all emails (new and old) were staying ON the server, therefore making my inbox fill up. I was not happy to hear this, as you can imagine. I apologize for the delay, but know I will be going through emails all day, replying as quickly as possible.

UPDATE: Seems that I spoke too soon – it is not quite fixed. Looks like I am going to have to add more disk space… Will update very soon.
